Federal Register Notice Announces Minor Reallocation to Establish U.K.-Specific Quota

U.S. Customs and trade authorities have issued a Federal Register notice announcing a minor modification to the beef Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ). The update reallocates existing quota volumes to establish a 13,000-metric-ton country-specific TRQ for the United Kingdom, following the UK–U.S. Trade Agreement finalized earlier this year.

This change does not introduce new compliance requirements but may affect quota availability and entry planning for certain beef imports.

Who Is Impacted?

  • Importers of beef subject to WTO tariff-rate quotas
  • Companies sourcing beef from the United Kingdom
  • Importers utilizing the “other countries” TRQ allocation
  • Supply chain, procurement, and trade compliance teams planning 2026 imports
