Josh Halpern
Chair of the Grow Big E-Commerce Initiative
Josh Halpern is an international market-entry leader, Mr. Halpern consults on cross-border ecommerce optimization in product categories including beauty, retail & apparel, medical devices, agriculture, baby products, health food & supplements and other goods. From 2011 through 2015, Joshua Halpern led the ecommerce, retail, franchise, licensing, cosmetics and logistics portfolios for the U.S. Embassy in China, where he provided market-entry consulting for U.S. companies. He founded and launched the U.S. Department of Commerce’s national eCommerce Innovation Lab.
His work has led to his creation of the Getting to Global Initiative and its free online Export Accelerator. Halpern has led start-up teams for multiple companies, including his own, throughout the world. He holds a B.F.A. from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, an MBA from INSEAD and an EMBA from Tsinghua University.
Patrick Perreault
C.E.O. at Getting to Global
Patrick Perreault is the CEO of Getting to Global, an organization that helps small and medium businesses expand to global markets by globalizing their e-commerce presence, optimizing their global fulfillment strategy, and by launching international marketing campaigns. Getting to Global’s network of globalization experts also allows it to help its clients get the specialized help they need, from international product certifications to in-country legal representation.
Patrick has spent the past 18 years delivering world-class e-commerce sites and digital campaigns for companies ranging from start-ups to multinationals in sectors including retail, life sciences, entertainment, and manufacturing. His work and expertise have benefited clients including Amazon, the NFL, Adidas, and Food Network.
Vincent Iacopella
EVP of Growth and Strategy at Alba Wheels Up
Vince is a licensed Customs Broker and past president of the Los Angeles Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association. Vince is Chairman of the Pacific Coast Council of Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders. In March 2013, he was appointed to the 13th Commercial Customs Advisory Committee for Customs and Border Protection, better known as COAC.
He served on the 14th COAC as Trade co-chair in. While on COAC Vince worked on customs broker regulations, automation of trade data in ACE, and e-commerce, Sec 321 de minimus policy. Vince serves as the Los Angeles Vice Chair of the District Export Council of Southern Council, serves on the Board of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the Board of Governors of the American Association of Exporters and Importers (AAEI).
Vince works externally and within Alba on strategy and initiatives that drive value to mid-market and global customers through this approach. Vince focuses collaboration with US Government agencies, such as the COAC, which allows the trade to influence CBP policy and align it the commercial interests of the private sector, and allows the private sector to align their practices with long term strategic policy of government regulatory agencies.
