The NOSB meets twice annually to discuss and vote on recommendations that help the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) address the needs of the organic industry. The updated meeting’s details are:

  • Dates: January 13–14, 2026
  • Time: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET
  • Format: Virtual (Zoom) – see details here
  • An agenda is here

The NOSB is accepting written public comments on Fall 2025 agenda topics through December 30, 2025.

  • Comments must be submitted via Regulations.gov
  • To be considered during the meeting, comments must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on December 30

For those interested in participating, the USDA’s National Organic Program also offers a short microlearning module on writing effective public comments to help stakeholders engage more effectively in the organic standards process.
