Exclusions from the Section 301 tariffs on imports from China for 81 medical care products needed to address the COVID-19 pandemic have been extended from May 31 through Nov. 30. These exclusions are available for any product that meets the specified HTSUS numbers and product descriptions, regardless of whether the importer filed an exclusion request.

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative states that it may consider further extensions and/or additional modifications in the future.

In the meantime, USTR has launched a process that could result in changes to the Section 301 tariffs on other goods from China. USTR is accepting requests to continue the tariffs on List 1 goods through July 5 and will open a request period regarding List 2 goods on June 24.
