ARE YOU PROTECTED?
All -Risk Cargo Insurance will cover the full value of your shipments from Door to Door.
Most carriers (airlines, steamship lines, and truckers) have limited liability and insufficiently cover a loss. In the event your cargo is lost or damaged, you will only be paid a fraction of the actual cost of your cargo. “All Risk” marine insurance provides coverage for the cost of your goods, duties, freight charges, and any other miscellaneous fees your shipment may incur in the event of a loss during transit or while stored in the warehouse.
The following financial exposures that make up the “Insured Value” of a shipment can be covered through Marine Cargo Insurance:
C.I.F. + 10%
o Cost of the goods
o Cost of insurance paid to cover the goods
o Cost of the freight and related charges
Plus 10% to address unforeseen expenses that can arise if a loss occurs.
It is important to insure cargo for the full value of the shipment so in the event of a loss you are fully compensated.
“All-Risk” cargo insurance protects goods shipped by water or air from physical loss or damage. Depending on the terms of sale, this coverage:
o Begins at the warehouse at the point of shipment
o Extends to the warehouse at the point of destination
o Includes all intermediate transit by rail or truck
- Physical loss or damage to cargo
- Water Damage
- Steam of Hold
- Contact with other cargo
- Hook Damage
- General Average
